Blue Sky On The Move

Stanbic Bank Zambia hosted a wonderful cocktail party at the Lusaka Intercontinental Hotel on Monday October 5th 2015. With distinguished guests from the Bank of Zambia, Senior Executives from Standard Bank (including Zweli Manyathi, CE of PBB Africa and Leon Barnard, Head of PBB East Africa), members of the press and Private Banking clients, the evening celebrated the launch of three new initiatives focused on “lifestyle”.

Mr. Charles Mudiwa, Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Zambia described a client of Stanbic Bank who was extensively supported in his or her everyday life. Blue Sky, the bank’s lifestyle service  for  premium customers, was presented as the perfect route into this customer’s life outside of their core financial arrangements with their bank. The new On The Move car and driver service was introduced  as another means for clients to live an enhanced lifestyle courtesy of Blue Sky and Stanbic Bank Zambia. Mr. Mudiwa introduced the launch of the bank’s new Zwatcha denominated  credit cards as  the perfect payment method for items sourced or travel booked through Blue Sky, as well as international transactions.  This final  point  linked in clearly with an introduction to Offshore  banking.  In all, the three launches of the evening were neatly woven together around a story of a mobile and active customer  with complex  domestic  and international  banking and lifestyle needs.

Towards the end of the evening, the Blue Sky On The Move branded vehicle was unveiled by Mr. Charles Mudiwa, Mr. Zweli Manyathi and the Deputy Governor of the Bank of  Zambia,
Dr. Bwalya Ngangu. Members of the Blue Sky team were on hand to explain the service to Relationship Managers and Private Banking customers alike. On The Move will operate in and around Lusaka, from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and is available for local deliveries, collections, and even airport drop-offs and pick-ups. During the evening, clients expressed excitement that they have access to such a convenient service and the first driver requests have already been handled
